The season will begin with a doubleheader as the Brooklyn Nets host the Golden State Warriors at Barclays Center.
Kevin Durant, who missed the entirety of the 2019-20 season, is set to make his Nets debut against his former team. This meeting is also a return to the court for superstar point guards Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving, who each missed the majority of the 2019-20 season with various injuries.
James Wiseman, who was selected with the No. 2 overall pick by the Warriors in the 2020 NBA Draft, gets an opportunity to make his NBA debut on a bright stage.
To follow, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers are back in action just 72 days after hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
They'll take on their in-arena rival in the LA Clippers, who fell just one win shy of meeting the Lakers in the 2020 Western Conference Finals. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George look to lead a revamped Clippers team that is now under the leadership of new head coach Tyronn Lue.
It is customary for the defending champs to open the season with ring night but at the time of writing, it is unclear whether or not the Lakers have plans to have a ring ceremony prior to the game, though they will likely raise their 17th championship banner into the Staples Center rafters.
Last season, the Lakers and Clippers met four times, with each game decided in the closing minutes. Fans won't have to wait long at all for the next installment of an ever-growing rivalry.
Indian TV info will be released at a later date.
