Through Wednesday and Thursday (May 22 and 23), the group games of the qualifying draws for the 2019 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup were underway.

These two days would determine the final teams in the main draws of both the men's (3) and the women's (2) category.

With the curtains coming down on these group games, here's a short glimpse at how the Indian squads performed:

Indian men's squad

On Day 1, the Indian men's squad eased past Malaysia 21-13.

On Day 2, they cruised past Vanuatu 21-10.

After winning Game 2, all the men had to do was win their last and final group game against a fifth-seeded South Korean squad to qualify for the main draw.

In the last game on Day 2 of the qualifying matchups, 12th-seeded India lost to South Korea and bowed out of the tournament, courtesy of a game-winner:

Indian Women's squad

Just like the men, the women's squad finished Day 1 with a win, as they beat Malaysia 16-15.

A fighting comeback, sparked by Bhandavya Mahesha, was required to register the close win:

On an early start on Day 2, the Indian women beat Maldives 18-12.

Needing to win their third and final group game against Thailand to qualify for the main draw, the women came up short 21-15.
