2023 Formula 2 season: Schedule, drivers, teams and latest F2 results image

Largely known as the final step on the ladder before F1, F2 returns in 2023 for the seventh time.

With 22 drivers racing for 11 different teams, expect plenty of action and drama as a number of the finest young drivers in the world do battle to stake their claim for a future seat at the top table in Formula One.

This season, F2 will race 14 times across the globe with weekends split up into a qualifying session, a sprint race and a feature race.

For everything you need to know about the schedule and which drivers are racing for which teams this season, The Sporting News is on hand.

F2 schedule 2023

This season saw F2 return for its seventh campaign that began in early March in Bahrain.

The calendar then largely follows the 2023 F1 schedule, though F2 is due to largely take place in Europe this season. Apart from races in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Australia and the United Arab Emirates, the other ten will take place in Europe.

Similarly to F1, F2 weekends also finish with the final race each Sunday with the last of those coming in Abu Dhabi in late November.

Unlike F1 however, every single round on the F2 calendar will also see a sprint race take place on the Saturday following earlier qualifying.
