Sean Strickland returns to the UFC APEX Center to face off against a rising star in Abusupiyan Magomedov on July 1.
UFC Vegas 76 airs on ESPN+ and ESPN in the U.S. It is Strickland’s fourth main event inside the APEX Center in five bouts.
Strickland made his pro debut in 2008. A King of the Cage middleweight champion, the 31-year-old joined the UFC in 2014 and is 13-5 with the promotion. He had his six-fight win streak snapped by Alex Pereira, who would end up beating Israel Adesanya for the UFC middleweight title.
After losing to Jared Cannonier in his next bout, Strickland beat Nassourdine Imavov back in February.

Magomedov turned pro in 2010. Competing for the PFL, he went 3-1-1 with the promotion. "Abus" is on a three-fight win streak and triumphed in his UFC debut in September against Dustin Stoltzfus.
The unranked Russian can spice things up at middleweight if he beats Strickland, who is ranked seventh in the division.
