LET. IT. FLY!

The Milwaukee Bucks piled on an avalanche of shooting in their blowout 144-97 win over the Miami Heat, setting an NBA record for most triples in a single game.

The Bucks connected on 29 3-pointers on 51 attempts, breaking the previous record of 27 threes set by the Houston Rockets against the Phoenix Suns in 2019.

Rookie Sam Merrill, the 60th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft buried the record-breaking triple with 6:07 remaining to give the Bucks a 131-86 lead in the fourth quarter — his only made bucket of the game.

Milwaukee’s previous best was 22 3-pointers set in 2018 against the Sacramento Kings.

Jrue Holiday led the barrage with six 3s, followed by Donte DiVincenzo with five, Khris Middleton four, and Brook Lopez with three as 12 different players hit at least one 3-pointer — also an NBA record, per Elias Sports.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was the only player to see the floor for the Bucks to not hit a three, going 0-of-2 from deep on his way to nine points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals in 24 minutes on court.

It mattered for little as seven Bucks players scored in double figures, led by Middleton’s 25 and Holiday’s 24.

Here's a breakdown of their red-hot shooting night from deep.
