The meeting between the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks was built up primarily as the final meeting between Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki, who famously squared off twice in the NBA Finals.

But while that individual matchup may have taken top billing, we'd be remiss if we didn't stop to appreciate Wade's custom sneakers he busted out for the occasion.

Dwyane Wade

These Li-Ning Wade All-City 7s featured his mother's name in outlined black text across the back of each shoe. With blue and fuschia accents throughout, the shoes worked off the same colour scheme that's behind the team's City Edition "Miami Vice" look.

In addition to his mother's name on the heel, various words were featured throughout including "pastor", "faith" and "author", among others.

Wade scored 11 points in 28 minutes in the win over Dallas

Jolinda is currently a Pastor at New Creation Binding and Loosing Ministries International located in Chicago, Illinois where Dwyane Wade was born and raised.

As for Dwyane Wade's Heat, they are now in sole possession of eighth place in the Eastern Conference with seven games to play.
