The hottest team in the NBA right now — the Memphis Grizzlies — extended their win streak to seven with a 113-109 home win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The young squad improved to 14-6 since Ja Morant returned to the lineup in mid-December. They have a chance to extend their win streak to eight against New Orleans in two days on Martin Lurther King Jr. Day, the last contest of their six-game homestand.

Five Grizzlies finished in double figures led by two players who keyed the win.

Morant's highlight-reel game

In this game, Morant didn't have numbers that blow you away when you look at the stat sheet, but his game was certainly entertaining.

Early in the game, he showed off his handles and leftie skill with this play:

Later in the first half, he was part of this Grizzlies fastbreak:

Using his high-flying abilities, Morant hammered home a Vince Carter-esque alley-oop

That wasn't it:

In his 33 minutes, Morant finished with 16 points (7-14 FGs), eight assists, three steals and two rebounds.

Brooks' magic

In the third quarter, Canadian Dillon Brooks erupted for 16 (5-7 FGs; 2-3 3PG) of his team-high tally of 26 points (9-16 FGs).

He nearly outscored the Cavaliers in the period as the visitors could only muster up 20 points, while giving up 38.

As soon as Brooks crossed the 20-point mark, the Grizzlies were pretty much assured of the win.

Including this game, the Grizzlies are now 13-0 when Brooks scores 20 or more.
