LeBron edges Wade to take their head-to-head series

Going into tonight's contest, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were tied at 15 games apiece in their head-to-head rivalry. With this being their last matchup this game lived up to the hype to say the least, filled with emotional moments and a thrilling ending.

Trailing 96-90, the Lakers went on an 8-0 run to take a 98-96 lead with 4:36 remaining. After the Heat tied the game, James buried a clutch three to put the Lakers up on the next possession. With 1:38 on the clock and the Heat down by one, LeBron attacked the rim to get to the free throw line, sinking both free throws to make it a three-point game with 22 seconds left. Miami got the ball in Wade's hands giving him a chance to send the game, and their series, into OT but LeBron played lock down defense, forcing a miss to secure the win.

LeBron finished with 28 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds while D-Wade ended with 15 points, 10 assists and five rebounds. Take a look at how things transpired between these two as the night went on...

Warriors win in Draymond's return

The Golden State Warriors got another player closer back to full strength tonight with the return of Draymond Green. In Green's return, he posted seven points, 10 rebounds and seven assists over 30 minutes in a 116-108 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

This game remained close through its' entirety, thanks to a 31-point, 11-rebound double-double from Karl-Anthony Towns. At the end of the day, Stephen Curry was too much to handle, scoring 38 points on seven made 3-pointers to go with seven rebounds and six assists.

Curry scored 25 of his 38 points in the second half, including 11 of that 38 in the fourth quarter to assure the Warriors would come out victorius. They have now won four consecutive games, advancing to 19-9 on the year, and Curry looks to be hitting his stride just in time for Thursday's huge rematch against the Toronto Raptors.

Pacers, Celtics extend their win streaks

Going into tonight, the longest win streaks in the NBA belonged to the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics. Each teams extended their winning streak tonight.

The Pacers, who have been without Victor Oladipo over the past 11 games, continue to find a way to get the job done. They defeated the Washington Wizards 109-101 to advance their winning streak to four games, the second longest in the NBA. The Wizards nearly made a comeback in this one, going on a 19-0 run from the four minute mark in the third quarter through just under 10 minutes in the fourth quarter.

They cut it as close as down by one point with 4:45 to go, but a clutch step-back 3-pointer from Darren Collison put the game back to two possessions and it never got any closer. It was a monster night for Pacers' centre Myles Turner, who finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks, while Collison dished out a game-high 17 assists.

As for the Celtics, they went into this game without Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward or Al Horford. With a roster extremely similar to the team that made the push in the Eastern Conference playoffs as season ago, they were able to handle Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans 113-100. Davis gave the Celtics everything they could handle, putting up 41 points and seven rebounds, but a balanced scoring attack got the job done for Boston.

Marcus Morris led the way with a season-high 31 points while Jayson Tatum helped him out with 21 points. Jaylen Brown's hot hand off the bench continued in this one despite all the injuries to starters, scoring 19 points as a reserve in the win. The Celtics have now won six consecutive games, their longest streak of the season and the longest current streak in the league.
