Game Preview
This game will mark the first matchup between the Bogdanovic brothers this season.
The visiting Pacers, currently in their final stop of a 4-game West Coast road trip, will play their seventh straight game without All-Star Victor Oladipo. Considering his absence, the team has held down the fort well, going 3-3 in his absence. In fact, without Oladipo, over the past six games, the Pacers are one of only three teams (Boston and LA Clippers being the other two) to be in the top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency.
Bojan Bogdanovic seems to be taking care of the scoring, consistently putting up 20-point games while Domantas Sabonis continues to impress with his all-round games, averaging 15.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists on 65.2% shooting.
After playing the Kings in Sacramento, the Pacers head back to Indiana where they will play six of their next eight games.
Other than an impressive early 5-game win streak, the Sacramento Kings have had a pretty inconsistent 2018-19 campaign so far. They are currently on a 3-game losing streak and after this home game against the Pacers, the young Kings are off on a 4-game East coach road trip.
While defense seems to be the stronghold for the Pacers, it's the Kings' soft spot. They are currently ranked 23rd in defensive efficiency and have successfully restricted their opponents to under 100 points just thrice this season. Their young core of De'Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Willie Cauley-Stein and rookie Marvin Bagley have all had positive seasons but it's time the team puts it all together for wins.
