LET. IT. FLY.

The Houston Rockets re-wrote the history books again today, knocking down 27 THREE-POINTERS in their 149-113 win over the Phoenix Suns.

The Rockets broke their own record of 26, a mark they hit twice this season - last week against the Sacramento Kings and earlier in the season in a December win over the Washington Wizards.

Eight players connected from downtown against the Suns, with Eric Gordon doing the bulk of the damage, tying his career-high with eight 3-pointers on 13 attempts.

Gordon finished with 26 points on the night, while James Harden led the way with 30 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists. Harden (5), PJ Tucker (4), Danuel House Jr. (3), Chris Paul (2), Austin Rivers (2), Gary Clark (2) and Iman Shumpert (1) all got in on the act, with the squad going 27-of-57 (47.3%) from deep.

Clark's triple with 3:04 remaining tied the Rockets' record with 26, before they missed their next four attempts until Rivers drained his second triple of the game with 1:09 left to set the new mark.

With 1305 made three-pointers for the season, the Rockets have also set the NBA record for most threes made in a single season for the third year running.

Most 3-Pointers Made In A Season, NBA History
1. Houston Rockets (2018-19) 1305*
2. Houston Rockets (2017-18) 1256
3. Houston Rockets (2016-17) 1181
4. Golden State Warriors (2015-16) 1077
5. Cleveland Cavaliers (2016-17) 1067

The Rockets led this one wire-to-wire, with the lead ballooning to as many as 43 points as the starters sat out the fourth quarter.

The Rockets now sit at 53-28 on the season in the third seed in the Western Conference, with one game remaining in the regular season against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.
