Tying their NBA record of 26 three-pointers, James Harden and the Houston Rockets registered win no. 50 of their season with a dominant 25-point victory over the Sacramento Kings.

The Rockets had previously set the record on Dec. 19 in an 18-point win over the Washington Wizards at home. 

Harden had a double-double of 36 points and 10 assists on 12-of-19 shooting from the field and 7-of-12 from beyond the arc in just 30 minutes of action.


Nine different players knocked down a three as the team connected on 26-of-61 attempts (42.6%). 

With 1238 made three-pointers for the season, the Rockets are only 18 threes away from setting the single-season record for a third straight year.

En route to the win, Chris Paul also surpassed Alvin Robertson on the all-time steals list. 


The Rockets only turned the ball over seven times and made 48.9% (46-of-94) of their field goal attempts. On the other hand, the Kings went 42-of-95 from the field but they only made seven three-pointers on 23 attempts.

This win gets the Rockets back into the third seed with a 0.5 game lead over the Portland Trail Blazers.
