The LPGA Founders Cup was held in New Jersey, USA from May 11 to May 14 and saw some of the best women golfers in the world compete against one another to win the tournament.
Indian golfer Aditi Ashok finished joint-fifth at the Founders Cup, along with Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand, and American golfer Angel Yin. Ashok would be slightly disappointed with her final position, considering she was contending for the title during the first three days, and a below-par performance led to her finishing far from the first position.

However, with the T5 finish at the Founders Cup, Ashok became the first ever Indian Woman to enter the top 50 in world rankings, with the Indian golfer currently at 49th position with her performance in New Jersey helping her move up 15 positions in the hierarchy.
Who is the highest-ranked women golfer?
American golfer Nelly Korda continues to be in first position in the women's golf world rankings. Her closest competitor is South Korean golfer Jin Young Ko who won the Founders Cup to move from third to second, in the process overtaking Lydia Ko from New Zealand.
When will Aditi Ashok play next?
Ashok will next be in action at the Aramco Series Florida, which is a part of the Ladies European Tour, where she will hope to improve upon her performance and ranking from the Founders Cup.
