Warriors snap losing-streak as Klay Thompson heats up against Blazers image

The reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors found themselves in unusual territory after losing their past two games.

They got back in the winners circle on Sunday as they took down the Portland Trail Blazers on the road, 115-105.

The Warriors held the lead at every change, but were never able to pull away from the Blazers who ensured the game remained close at all times.

Klay Thompson had the hot hand for the Warriors as he ended with a team-high 32 points on 12-21 shooting from the field, connecting on 4-5 from beyond the arc.

Thompson had struggled from deep over the Warriors' past six games as he buried only 6-31 from downtown.

Steph Curry and Kevin Durant each pitched in 25 points as they moved to 24-13 on the season and into second spot in the Western Conference.

For the Blazers the loss pushes them to seventh spot in the West with a 20-16 record, equal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Damian Lillard was at his devastating best as he poured in 40 points, going an efficient 14-23 from the field in the close loss.

The Blazers stay at home and welcome the 76ers for a clash on Monday, while the Warriors head to Phoenix for a showdown against the Suns on Tuesday.
