Klay Thompson emerged from a shooting slump in a big way Monday night.

In the first half of the Warriors game against the Chicago Bulls, Thompson sank 10 of his 14 3-point attempts, scoring 36 points in under 19 minutes of action. The All-Star's 10 3-pointers in a half tied a record set by Chandler Parsons.

His hot shooting continued in the third quarter, where he sank four more 3-pointers to bring his total to 14, breaking an NBA record previously held by his teammate Stephen Curry.

Thompson exited the game having scored 52 points on 18-for-29 shooting from the field in just over 26 minutes of action.

Thompson's first-half shooting spearheaded a record-setting half for the Warriors, who knocked down an NBA-record 17 3-pointers in the first half. Golden State used its hot shooting to get out to a 92-50 lead over Chicago.

The Warriors 92 first-half points are the second-most points scored in a half in NBA history.

Golden State used its big first half to cruise to a 149-124 victory over Chicago. In the win, the Warriors assisted on 34 of their 53 made field goals, shooting 54.6 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from deep.

The Warriors knocked down a franchise-record 24 3-pointers in the game, falling just one 3-pointer shy of tying an NBA record held by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Stephen Curry, who is on an absolute offensive tear this season, finished with 23 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the field including 2-for-4 shooting from deep. Reserve guard Alfonzo McKinnie was the team's third-leading scorer with 19 points and shot 4-for-6 from deep.

Coming into Monday night's game against the Chicago Bulls, Thompson had struggled to get going on the offensive end. Through the Warriors first seven games, the 28-year-old was averaging 15.1 points per game on 39.6 percent shooting from the field and 13.9 percent shooting from 3-point range, hitting just five of his 36 long-range attempts.

I think it's safe to say Thompson is now back on track.
