We're back and ready for another hotly-anticipated race day in the early stages of the 2024 Formula 1 season. After the return of the Chinese Grand Prix, the 20 drivers are in the USA for the first of three stateside races this year — the Miami Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen's back-to-back-to-back title defence has seen him win four of the five races so far in 2024, including both of the last two, and having tasted victory at both previous editions of the Miami Grand Prix, he's the overwhelming favourite to make it three in a row this time around.

Red Bull duo Verstappen and Sergio Perez are certainly setting the pace so far in 2024, also recording one-two finishes in four of this season's five races, and as has been the case for the past few seasons, the onus is on every other team to try and break up the pair's sheer dominance of both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships.

The Chinese Grand Prix did threaten to spring some surprises on that front, with Aston Martin's veteran Fernando Alonso qualifying in third and recording the fastest lap on race day, but coming into the third-ever Miami Grand Prix, it looks as if Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, as well as McLaren's Lando Norris, are the closest challengers to Red Bull this year.

For all the scheduling, TV and streaming details as race number six on the 2024 F1 calendar kicks off, The Sporting News has you covered.
