Formula 1 has finally arrived in Las Vegas, the highly-anticipated race gets underway this weekend and it seems the entire world is waiting for lights out. 

It's set to be arguably the biggest-ever event for the sport and some believe it has the potential to be the biggest sporting event of the year.

The F1 drivers will be taking to the street circuit across the Las Vegas strip, which includes world-famous hotels, casinos and neon lights.

With motorsports' rapid growth across the US, The Sporting News takes a look at the price of tickets for the event.

How much does a ticket for the Las Vegas Grand Prix cost?

While general admission tickets for each day/session has already sold out there are still a limited number of tickets available on the official F1 website here.

What is the Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix opening ceremony?

As mentioned above, a array of big stars will be taking the stage for the opening ceremony.

John Legend, J Balvin, Journey, Keith Urban, Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, Steve Aoki, will.i.am, Andra Day and Bishop Briggs are also set to take the stage.

Vegas staples will also be in among the singers and songwriters. Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Blue Man Group and Cirque du Solei will have a performance.
