Mizoram-born winger Lallianzuala Chhangte is having a dream run this season for both his club and country.
The 26-year-old first won the Indian Super League Player of the Season award in the 2022-23 campaign by scoring 10 goals and providing six assists. He was the highest Indian goalscorer in the league.
Chhangte also became the second Indian player after Sunil Chhetri to bag the best player of the season award in the ISL.

After his heroics for his club Mumbai City FC in the domestic season, Chhangte has now proved it at the international level as he became the joint-top scorer along with Sunil Chhetri in India's Intercontinental Cup 2023 triumph.
In the final against Lebanon, Chhangte assisted Chhetri for the opening and scored the second goal to seal the fate of the match in India's favour.

Who is Indian football's newest star Lallianzuala Chhangte?
The winger started his football journey at DSK Shivajians's Liverpool International Football Academy in 2014. In 2016, Chhangte along with fellow academy cadet and future Odisha FC teammate Jerry Mawihmingthanga, went to Liverpool to train at Liverpool's youth academy at Kirkby briefly.
He burst into the Indian football scene in 2015, when Stephen Constantine called him up to the national team in the 2015 SAFF Championship.
So far in his career, he has played for ISL clubs like NorthEast United, Odisha FC, Chennaiyin FC and Mumbai City and DSK Shivajians in the I-League.
He is the second all-time highest Indian goalscorer in the history of the ISL after Sunil Chhetri and sixth overall with 30 goals in 109 appearances.
