The Indian football team qualified for the last four stage of the SAFF Championship 2023 after being held to a 1-1 draw against Kuwait in their final group game on Tuesday.
Kuwait scored an equaliser in the injury time of the match to hold the hosts to a draw.

Who are India facing in the SAFF Championship 2023 semi-final?
By finishing second in their group, India will take on Group B champions Lebanon who ended the group stage with a perfect record. They won all of their matches and ended up with nine points.
The SAFF Championship semi-final will be a repeat of the Intercontinental Cup 2023 final where India defeated Lebanon 2-0 in Bhubaneswar to bag their second title.
How have India performed in the SAFF Championship 2023?
India started their SAFF campaign on a high by thrashing rivals Pakistan 4-0 with Sunil Chhetri netting a hat-trick.
In their second game, they comfortably outclassed Nepal 2-0 and in their final game they managed a draw despite taking the lead in the first courtesy of Chhetri's 92nd international strike.
When are the SAFF Championship 2023 semi-finals?
On Saturday, July 1, Kuwait face Bangladesh in the first semi-final and later that day India take on Lebanon. Both matches will be held at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.
