The Euro 2024 Round of 16 is set after the group stages concluded on June 26 with a stunning upset.
Georgia shocked everyone by defeating Portugal 2-0, earning their place in the knockout rounds as one of the best third-placed teams. Despite already qualifying, Portugal will be disappointed with the result.
The knockout stage will run from June 29 to July 3, with 16 teams vying for a spot in the quarterfinals.
Belgium secured their place by finishing second in Group E behind Romania, and Turkey's win over Czechia ensured second place in Group F. Thus, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, England, Denmark, Austria, France, Romania, Belgium, Portugal, and Turkey all qualified as first and second in their respective groups.
The format allowed the four best third-place teams to qualify for the next round, which is how Slovenia, Netherlands, Slovakia, and Georgia all progressed.

Euro 2024 Round of 16 kickoff times
All Round of 16 matches at Euro 2024 will be assigned to one of two kickoff times: at 9:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. IST (local time in India).
Euro 2024 fixtures
The group stage began on June 15 with hosts Germany taking on Scotland in Munich at the Allianz Arena in the tournament opener.
The tournament action will now continue for the rest of the month, with the knockout stage beginning June 29 with the Round of 16 as Switzerland look to knock out defending champions Italy.
The final will take place in Berlin on July 15, 2024 India time, to crown the winner and wrap up the competition. Interestingly enough, the semifinals and final are set to kick off at 12:30 a.m. IST, the same as the tournament opener.
