It won't be long before the summer comes around and Copa America 2024 is upon us.
Can the reigning Copa America and world champions Argentina, led by the seemingly ageless Lionel Messi, defend their crown? Can the five-time world champions Brazil finally live up to the hype and claim their first major silverware since 2019? Or will the United States make a resounding statement in what will serve as a measuring stick on the road to the 2026 World Cup, which they will host?
These are just a few questions football fans will have, as the top teams from the Americas battle on the continental stage.
The tournament, which will be hosted by 14 cities across the United States from June 20 to July 14 (local time in the USA), will feature all 10 CONMEBOL members, as well as six CONCACAF teams.
Copa America last came to the United States in the summer of 2016 for Copa America Centenario, which commemorated the South American championship's 100th anniversary.
