A 3-0 win in midweek saw Real Madrid easily beat Braga to make it four wins from four matches in this season's UEFA Champions League group stage, but a prior 0-0 home draw with Rayo Vallecano in La Liga saw them squander top spot after 12 matches.

As such, the task is simple here for Carlo Ancelotti's side, claim another three points to put the pressure back on surprise package Girona who currently sit at the top of the standings.

But Valencia are the team in the way at the Santiago Bernabeu this time around and they arrive here in decent form themselves, remaining undefeated across their last four league outings as they look to quality for European competition next season. The Sporting News previews the game below.

Real Madrid vs Valencia best bet

Although they put three past Braga in midweek European action, Real Madrid have hardly been in free scoring form beside that outing of late.

That was the first time in five matches that they scored more than two goals in a match and as such, we're expecting similar here against tough opposition in Valencia.

As for the visitors, they've netted just 15 goals across their 11 La Liga fixtures so far this campaign and they continue to struggle in front of goal. They also struggle at this venue massively, not winning on any of their last 15 league visits to face Real and they've failed to score on three of their last four trips to this iconic stadium.

Real Madrid vs Valencia flier bet

    • Pick: Vinicius Junior to score first
    • Odds: +400 (DraftKings)

When these two sides met in May, Vinicius Junior was subjected to racist abuse by a section of Valencia fans and threatened to walk off the pitch as the game was allowed to continue.

The Brazilian was even sent off for reacting to the crowd as La Liga suffered one of its darkest days in recent memory.

On the pitch though, Vinicius has enjoyed performing against Valencia in recent years. He's netted four goals in his last four La Liga matches against the east coast club and we think he's a good bet to do that again here.

At +125 to score anytime, his odds aren't that enticing but if you take him to score first with DraftKings, they're offering him at +400.

Overall this season, the 23-year-old has netted four strikes with one of those coming in midweek versus Braga as he warmed up for this La Liga clash in style.
