Real Madrid are in the midst of preparing for the 2023/24 campaign as they look to push for the La Liga and Champions League title.

Carlo Ancelotti's side won the Copa del Rey last season, but failed to retain their league and European trophies. Barcelona cruised to the La Liga title while Los Blancos lost to Man City in the Champions League semifinals.

The Spanish giants could need a small adjustment period as star player and current Ballon d'Or holder Karim Benzema has left the club to join Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League.

The Sporting News looks at the Real Madrid players contracted for the 2023/24 season.

Florentino Perez has been very busy so far in the transfer window as Real Madrid have already made three new signings. Jude Bellingham is a new addition to the midfield while Fran Garcia offers another option at left-back. Joselu has been signed on loan from Espanyol to add more depth to the attack.

Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are both set to stay despite rumours of a potential move to Saudi Arabia, while Brahim Diaz could play a role in Ancelotti's squad as his loan spell at AC Milan comes to an end.

How Real Madrid were built

Ancelotti will have a plethora of world class midfielders to choose from following the signing of Bellingham. He could partner the likes of Kroos, Modric, Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, Brahim Diaz, and Eduardo Camavinga.

Luka Modric is the club's current longest serving player, joining Real Madrid side back in August 2012 from Tottenham. The Croatian has gone onto win multiple Champions League titles and has also won the Ballon d'Or award.
