Two of the four English teams to have won the European Cup more than once meet in the top flight for the first time in 23-and-a-half years when Nottingham Forest host Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.

In the Champions League's previous incarnation as the European Cup, Liverpool were kings of Europe in 1977 and 1978 before Forest became champions in each of the two subsequent years.

Forest's modern exile from the Premier League until this season means this is the first league fixture between the clubs since 1999 – and a chance for the hosts to beat the Reds for the first time since 1996.

Will Liverpool make it three consecutive wins or can Forest avoid defeat for the first time in three home games? Here's how to watch the action, the team lineup news, betting odds and more.

Nottingham Forest vs. Liverpool betting odds

Klopp has been hesitant to describe his side's form as a corner turned but their 7-1 hammering of Rangers and successive 1-0 wins over Manchester City and West Ham have made Liverpool more closely resemble a team who were tipped to be contenders before the start of the season.

Forest are winless in nine league games but pushed Liverpool close in this fixture last season, when their run to the FA Cup quarterfinals came to an end courtesy of Diogo Jota's late winner in a 1-0 win for the visitors at the City Ground.
