Manchester City will try to take the next step towards their dreams of a historic treble as they contest the 2023 FA Cup final against their heated rivals Manchester United at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's side has already won the Premier League title, and they have the Champions League final to come in a week's time, with this domestic cup match sandwiched in between. Man United, having already won the EFL Cup earlier this season, are also going for multiple trophies to end their campaign.

Despite Manchester City's domestic dominance since Pep Guardiola's arrival, Man United have been able to find results against their rivals. United have won five times in the last 11 matches between the two sides across all competitions.

The last time these two teams faced in the FA Cup came back in January of 2012 when United knocked City out of the competition in the third round by a 3-2 scoreline. Wayne Rooney scored twice as the Red Devils were up 3-0 by halftime, and Man City's second-half comeback fell short.

Man City vs Man United prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: Draw (+360)
  • Trophy winner lean: Man City (-450)
  • Score prediction: Man City 1-1 Man United

This Manchester City team is dominant, and it would be unwise to bet against them to lift the trophy in the end, but we're due a little drama, no? This City side hasn't conceded a single goal during their entire FA Cup run, but with their eyes on the Champions League final next weekend, it could be time for a slip.

Man United played City extremely well in their last meeting, and even if City continued to lay siege to the rest of the Premier League, it would be sensible to play to the odds here and hedge a Man United result.

Man City vs Man United: best bet

    • Pick: Both teams to score — YES
    • Odds: -135 (BetMGM)

Obviously both teams will want to secure a trophy in a final against their biggest rival, but with the Champions League final coming next Saturday, there's no way Man City will take any chances here that could put that in any kind of jeopardy. Pep Guardiola already confirmed that Stefan Ortega, who has not conceded a single FA Cup goal this season across five matches, will start again in goal, and he could rotate a number of other key players.

Man United have not been afraid to come at City in both Premier League games this season, putting up 1.71 and 1.98 xG in the two league matches respectively. With City keeping one eye on next weekend's European final, and some squad rotation, it's reasonable to expect Man United to push this City side for a result, and in the process put at least one in the back of the net.

Man City vs Man United prop bet

    • Pick: Casemiro to be booked
    • Odds: +145 (FanDuel)

Casemiro in a final against a rival where there's no risk of yellow card suspension? These are exceptional odds, and one should not pass them up.

Luke Shaw is another great pick to earn a yellow card at +155, but we are keeping it to the most likely result here. Casemiro has been booked in each of his last three domestic cup matches, earning bookings against Newcastle and Southampton in the League Cup plus against Brighton in the FA Cup semifinal.

The Brazilian was also booked in the last Premier League match against City, earning a caution from Stuart Atwell in the 89th minute. Casemiro did not appear in the match against Leeds which Paul Tierney officiated, but Fred, his replacement, was the only United player to earn a caution.
