A massive relegation six-pointer takes place at the King Power Stadium in the Monday spotlight as Leicester City and Everton match up.

Both clubs currently sit in the relegation zone, and three invaluable points sit waiting to be snatched, potentially there to save someone's season. With Leeds United and Nottingham Forest also near the danger zone, a win in this match would see the victor to safety and threaten another.

Each side has suffered a poor recent run of form, but whereas Everton are in the midst of such a run, Leicester City have shown recent signs of life with four points in their last two games.

The Sporting News football betting expert Kyle Bonn shares his best bets, props, and high risk/high return fliers for some of the biggest matches in the sport each week. Leicester City vs Everton prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: Leicester City (+100)
  • Handicap lean: Leicester City -0.5 (-110)
  • Score prediction: Leicester City 3-0 Everton

These are two very poor teams limping to the finish line, but one team is in much worse shape than the other.

Leicester City gave Man City a real go back in mid-April, and they're unbeaten in their last two following that defeat to the title favourites. Everton, meanwhile, have just one competitive attacking output in their last five matches, which resulted in defeat to Fulham.

Goals could be at a premium for these two inconsistent sides, as the under is a slight favourite by the oddsmakers, although there is an expectation that both teams could score.

Leicester City vs Everton: best bet

    • Pick: Both teams to score — NO
    • Odds: -110 (BetMGM)

Having watched Everton in recent weeks, they don't look likely to find the back of the net in any match, regardless of the opponent's defensive acumen. They were awful against Crystal Palace in the scoreless draw, and were lucky to get a consolation against Newcastle.

Leicester City aren't spectacular defensively, but Everton have managed multiple goals just once in their last seven matches, and do not create chances in waves, unable to put pressure on the opponent in bunches. With this selection slightly skewed towards the "yes" option thanks to the defensive struggles by both sides, there's value here.

Leicester City vs Everton prop bet

    • Pick: Leicester City to win 1H
    • Odds: +155 (BetMGM)

Leicester City have scored 59 percent of their goals in the first half this season, the highest mark of any Premier League club, while Everton have scored the fewest first half goals of any team in the league.

That alone should be enough to sway you here, but here's more. Leicester City won the first half in their reverse fixture back in November thanks to a 45th minute Youri Tielemans goal. The Foxes also clobbered Wolves in the first half and deserved to win the opening stage despite a 1-1 result. Against teams not in the top echelon of the league, Leicester City love to come out firing, and they'll want to put Everton to bed early in this match.
