Is Bukayo Saka playing? Lineups, starting 11s, team news for Arsenal vs Burnley in Premier League image

Arsenal are set to make a late call on Bukayo Saka's involvement in Saturday's Premier League game against Burnley.

The England winger suffered his latest fitness scare of recent weeks when he took a knock to the ankle and was withdrawn five minutes from the end of Wednesday's 2-0 Champions League win over Sevilla.

"B had to leave the pitch because he was in quite a lot of pain," Arteta said at his Friday news conference. "He didn't train yesterday and let's see if he can make it tomorrow."

The loss of Saka would be potentially significant for the Gunners: after going unbeaten in the early weeks of the season, they have lost three of their past eight games in all competitions. That said, Burnley are enduring a five-match losing run and will not be heading to Emirates Stadium in especially confident mood.

Here, we take a look at the other early team news ahead of Arsenal hosting Burnley, who sit second bottom of the table after taking just four points from their first 11 games.

Is Bukayo Saka playing against Burnley?

At the moment, Saka's availability is uncertain. The winger will have to come through some late fitness tests to prove he is ready to face Burnley on November 11.

Official team news will be announced approximately one hour before kickoff.

Arsenal vs Burnley team news, lineups

Arsenal will once again be without Thomas Partey and long-term absentee Jurrien Timber, with midfielder Emile Smith Rowe also "probably" on the sidelines.

Arteta cautioned that there could be other absentees given the quick turnaround from the Sevilla game.

"There might be a few more," he said. "A few are still in contention. We need to give them 24 more hours to give them a chance to be involved in the game, but we won't know anything until tomorrow [Saturday]."

Lyle Foster will be absent for Burnley after the club announced this week that the striker would be taking an indefinite break to prioritise his mental health.

Below are the projected starting lineups for both teams ahead of their match at Emirates Stadium in London.

Arsenal projected starting 11

(4-3-3, right to left): Raya (GK) — White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko — Havertz, Jorginho, Rice — Saka, Trossard, Martinelli.

  • Injured: Jesus, Partey, Timber, Tomiyasu, Smith Rowe, Nketiah (doubt), Odegaard (doubt), Saka (doubt)
  • Suspended: None

Eddie Nketiah (ankle) and Martin Odegaard (hip) remaining doubtful means Arteta might be minded to ask Saka to go back to the well again if at all possible. Takehiro Tomiyasu came off at halftime against Sevilla, meaning Oleksandr Zinchenko is favourite to start at left-back.

Burnley projected starting 11

(4-5-1, right to left): Trafford (GK) — Roberts, O'Shea, Beyer, Taylor — Gudmundsson, Berge, Brownhill, Cullen, Koleosho —  Rodriguez.

  • Injured: Foster, Benson, Ramsey, Obafemi, Al-Dakhil
  • Suspended: None

Josh Cullen's return from injury hands a welcome boost to boss Vincent Kompany.
