Cameroon face the might of Brazil at the 2022 World Cup on December 2 as they look to defy the odds and progress to the Round of 16.

After losing 1-0 to Switzerland in their opening game, Cameroon came from two goals down to salvage a 3-3 draw with Serbia in their last match.

That leaves the African side with a chance of advancing if they beat Brazil and Switzerland fail to defeat Serbia.

The Selecao have won both of their games in Qatar to date without conceding, but are already through to the knockout stages so may take things slightly easier in this clash.

Brazil vs Cameroon lineups

Superstar Neymar will once again sit out of this match as he recovers from an ankle injury. The same goes for defender Danilo leaving Brazil a bit shorter than they'd like for this clash.

Premier League stars Gabriel Jesus and Antony are yet to start at the 2022 World Cup and this match may be their chance to shine from the off before the knockout stages.

Brazil projected lineup (4-3-3, right to left): 1. Alisson (GK) — 14. Militao, 4. Marquinhos, 3. Silva, 6. Sandro — 8. Fred, 5. Casemiro, 7. Paqueta – 19. Antony, 18. Jesus, 21. Rodrygo.

First-choice goalkeeper Andre Onana has left Qatar after falling out with manager Rigobert Song over his style of play and was replaced with Devis Epassy against Serbia.

In that match, Vincent Aboubakar starred off the bench with a goal and assist so should be rewarded with a start this time out.

Cameroon projected lineup (4-3-3, right to left): 16. Epassy (GK) — 19. Fai, 21. Castelletto, 3. N'Koulou, 25. Tolo— 8. Anguissa, 18. Hingla, 15. Kunde — 20. Mbeumo, 13. Choupo-Moting, 10. Aboubakar.

Brazil vs Cameroon odds, prediction

Even with some Brazil rotation, the world No.1s have enough depth to still cause Cameroon all sorts of problems.

Tite will be eager for his side to maintain their good form heading into the knockout stages and it's hard seeing their experienced defence leak any goals in this one.

Prediction: Brazil to win 2-0
