'You get what you deserve' - LSG's Naveen-ul-Haq takes a jibe at Virat Kohli image

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) medium fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq took a jibe at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star Virat Kohli a day after the two were involved in a verbal spat during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match on Monday in Lucknow.

The Afghan international told one of his LSG teammates that he has not come to India to take abuses, the Indian Express reported.

I have come here to play in the IPL, not to take abuse from anyone.

Naveen-ul-Haq also shared a cryptic message on his Instagram story which seemed like a jibe at Kohli.

He wrote, 

You get what you deserve. That’s how it should be and that’s how it goes.

What happened between Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli?

The two players were involved in a spat while LSG was batting. Kohli was seen arguing with the on-field umpires. The altercation, as beamed on television, showed Kohli say something to the Afghan bowler, who charged at the former India captain in response.

Amit Mishra, who was present at the other end, tried to pacify the situation and in the process, he too got involved in an altercation with Kohli.

After the game, when Naveen and Kohli were shaking hands, they resumed the heated argument. Even LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir was seen exchanging verbal blows with the RCB talisman.

Batting first on the slow Ekana Stadium pitch, the visitors posted a paltry total of 126 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. They then bowled out LSG for just 108 runs.

Both the players were fined 100 percent of their match fee while LSG mentor Gambhir was fined 50 percent of his fee.
