Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal could make his Test debut for India as he is likely to replace Cheteshwar Pujara in the Indian squad for the West Indies tour.
After a stellar season with RR in the recently concluded IPL 2023, where he was the fifth-highest run-scorer (625 runs), Jaiswal may make his international debut.

The southpaw was rewarded for his IPL performance during the World Test Championship final as he travelled with the team to London as a standby. And now he is all set to be included in the main squad in place of Cheteshwar Pujara.
Pujara failed to deliver in the WTC final as he scored 14 and 27 runs respectively in the two innings and the 35-year-old is now likely to be dropped from the team due to his poor run of form. Along with Pujara, Shami is also likely to be rested for the tour next month as Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik are set to get a call-up in the Test squad.

Cricbuzz quoted a source close to the development saying,
Every Test is important, and its result contributes to the World Test Championship (WTC) points table. We cannot experiment in a Test match.
While Pujara could miss out, another RR star and their skipper Sanju Samson could make way back into the Indian ODI and T20I squads after missing the home series against Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia earlier this year.
The first Test match of the West Indies tour is set o begin on July 12 at Windsor Park, Dominica. It will also mark the beginning of the WTC 2023-25 cycle.
