The World Test Championship 2023 contested by India and Australia was the most viewed Test match in history.
The WTC final which was held in The Oval, London between June 7 and June 11 garnered 124 million viewers as per data from the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) which was 32 percent more than the previous record during the WTC Final 2021.

Star Networks, the original broadcasters of the competition, recorded 14.4 billion minutes of watch time.

India lost their second consecutive WTC final when they went down against 209 runs. Batting first, Australia posted a massive total of 469 runs. India responded with a total of just 296.
Aussies then declared their second innings at 270/8 imposing a target of 44 runs. The Rohit Sharma-led side were then bowled out for 209 runs.
With the win, Australia became the only team in the history of international cricket to win all ICC tournaments.
