The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 is well underway in UAE and 10 teams across two groups are fighting it out to make it to the second round of the competition with high-intensity match clashes.

With teams like Australia and England unbeaten in their respective groups and at least one easier game to go for both sides in the group stage, it is very likely that both rival nations will move ahead in the tournament either as group winners or as the runner-ups. How many teams will qualify from Group A and Group B in the Women's T20 World Cup?

The ongoing tournament is being played in a round-robin format with two different groups of five teams each followed up by a knockout stage. All five teams will face the rest of the four teams in their groups and a table will be formed for each group.

The top two ranked sides in each group will then move ahead to the semi-final round where they will face a team from the other group. The group winners will face runner-ups from the other group i.e., A1 v B2 and B1 v A2.

The group stage will end on October 15 with England facing West Indie which might decide the final team in the semi-finals which will be played on October 17 and October 18 in Dubai and Sharjah respectively.

Australia leads Group A with 2 wins in 2 matches ahead of facing Pakistan and India while South Africa, after their 2 wins in 3 matches is the leader of Group B and they face Bangladesh up next on Saturday.
