Have the Indian team done a bus parade before?
Back in 2007, when India won their first ever T20 World Cup in its inaugural edition, there was a huge celebration once the team returned to India. India lifted the Cup in South Africa after a famous win over arch-rivals Pakistan. To commemorate the achievement, MS Dhoni and were taken a bus parade in Mumbai with the trophy on display for the fans to witness.
A similar scenario could be repeated once again when the team returns back to India. It will also give fans the opportunity to celebrate the T20 careers of India’s finest, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who announced retirements from the shorter format of the game following the victory over South Africa.
