The Saurashtra Premier League 2023 has finally come to an end. Nine days and ten matches of end-to-end cricketing action has now reached a conclusion. The final of the third edition of the SPL was played on the 31st August, 2023.
After finishing in the top two at the end of the group stages, Kutch Warriors and Gohilwad Gladiators locked horns in the one-off final. The final was staged at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

Who won Saurashtra Premier League 2023?
The Kutch Warriors won their maiden Saurashtra Premier League trophy after dismantling the Gohilwad Gladiators in the SPL 2023 Final. The Warriors had arguably been the best team in the group stages, as they finished on the first place, while Gladiators finished second.
Kutch Warriors become the third franchise to lift the silverware in Saurashtra Premier League history. The Sorath Lions won the inaugural edition in 2019, with Halar Heroes attaining glory in the 2022 edition.
Zalawad Royals and Gohilwad Gladiators now remain the only two teams without the crown piece.

What happened in the SPL 2023 Final?
In the all-awaited Saurashtra Premier League Final, the Kutch Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first. Who knew that was not the only thing they were going to win on the night. In knockout games, every team needs a bit of fortune, and the fortune favoured the Warriors tonight.
The Warriors posted a total of 156 runs on the board at the loss of seven wickets. Aryandev Jhala (33) and Harvik Desai (33) ensured that the Kutch Warriors were off to a cracker in the SPL Final. The duo hit 58 runs in the first six overs. Samarth Vyas hit 39 runs while batting at number three.
Ankur Pawar and Shaurya Sanandia were Gohilwad Gladiators' best bowlers on the big night. Pawar picked three wickets in his spell, while Sanandia bagged two crucial wickets of Samarth Vyas and Dharmendrasinh Jadeja.
In response, the Gujarat Gladiators fell off the cliff since the start of the innings. The Gladiators found themselves at 30/3 at the end of five overs. However, Raxit Mehta brought some respite with his 41-ball 72. However, his efforts went all in vain, as the Warriors beat Gladiators by 21 runs. Kushang Patel picked a 4-fer for the Warriors as they attained glory.
