He scored 205 in the first innings of the first Test match against West Indies in 1978.

The Little Master scored an unbeaten 236 in the second innings against the same opposition five years later.
In the third innings of his debut Test match in 1971 against the Windies, Gavaskar smashed a magnificent knock of 220.
In August 1979 against England, Gavaskar scored 221 in the fourth innings at the iconic Oval Stadium.
