Bowling with the red ball is still one of the classiest acts in the game. Even with the evolution of the game into shorter formats, test cricket is still watched with the same enthusiasm as before. A bowler’s skill, grit, and patience are tested in tests, and these are some tough nuts to crack.
Currently, Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is the number one Test bowler in the world. Though it is a spinner who occupies top spot, the list is highly pacer-dominated. Seven of the top ten bowlers are pacers, while only three are spinners.
It must be noted that Ashwin has topped the charts despite being dropped by India for the recently concluded World Test Championship final against Australia which they lost.
