Joe Root scored yet another Test century, on Wednesday in the first innings of the first Test match between England and Pakistan at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Batting first, the hosts put up a massive total of 556 runs and in response, riding on Root's incredible 176 runs innings, England are 492/3

Who has scored the most Test centuries among active players?

Root now has the most centuries among active players with 35 tons to his name. He is followed by Kane Williamson and Steve Smith who have scored 32 Test centuries each. 

India's Virat Kohli comes fourth on the list with 29 tons while Cheteshwara occupies the fifth spot with 19 centuries.
