Over the years, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been home to a variety of young talent. Many youngsters have walked through the doors of the IPL and even gone on to represent the Indian Cricket Team. 

One such talent was on show for the Delhi Capitals when they played against the Gujarat Titans on May 2, 2023. Aman Hakim Khan made a name for himself with a fine knock. 

DC has been struggling throughout the ongoing IPL season. And their match against Gujarat Titans was no different. At the end of five overs, the Capitals found themselves struggling at 23-5. 

In came Aman Khan. He steadied the sinking ship, scoring a quickfire 51 off 44 deliveries. During his time at the crease, he hammered three maximums and three boundaries. His stay on the pitch was eventually cut short by Rashid Khan in the penultimate over.

Aman Khan hails from Maharashtra. He was born in Mumbai on 23 November 1996 and is 26 years old currently.

Aman Hakim Khan represents “Mumbai” in the Ranji Trophy and is contracted to the Mumbai Cricket Association. Aman’s debut for the senior Mumbai team came in the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He was on the team sheet for the quarter-final against Saurashtra.

  3. Traded ahead of the 2023 season: Aman Khan made his IPL debut in 2022 for Kolkata Knight Riders. However, before the 2023 season auction, KKR paid cash and traded Aman Khan to Delhi Capitals in exchange for Shardul Thakur.
     
  4. Alternate career option: Aman revealed that he would’ve been a tennis player if not a cricketer. Tennis was the first sport he ever played. 
     
  5. Foodie: Aman is a foodie and loves all types of cuisines. He also has a sweet tooth, which he calls his “guilty pleasure”. He also reveals that his favorite holiday destination is Goa.
