Which team plays the most Tests in the 2023-25 World Test Championship cycle? image

The schedule for the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 has already been announced. Australia are the defending champions of the Test Mace, having won the 2023 WTC final, defeating India recently at The Oval.

The 2023-25 cycle starts with the Ashes which commenced on 16th June. Nine of the 12 full ICC member nations will participate in the World Test Championship. The three nations not taking part in the tournament are Afghanistan, Ireland, and Zimbabwe. Each team will play a test series against six opponents across two years, and the top two sides on the table at the end of the WTC will play the WTC Final.

The teams are ranked on the table based on the percentage of the points (PCT) won. Any team gets twelve points for every win, six points for a tie, four for a draw, and a loss gives you zero points.
