David Warner, one of the greatest overseas players to have ever played in the IPL, has now scored the most number of half-centuries (53) in the tournament's history.

He is followed by Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli who have 46 and 42 half-centuries respectively.

David Warner, who has created and broken several records in the tournament, also finds his name among the players with the most consecutive half-centuries in IPL.

Only three players in the competition's history have scored five consecutive 50s. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag was the first-ever player to hit five consecutive half-centuries while representing erstwhile Delhi Daredevils, now Delhi Capitals, in 2012. 

In 2018, Buttler equaled Sehwag's record by hitting five consecutive 50s while playing for Rajasthan Royals and the subsequent year Warner joined the party while he was still at Sunrisers Hyderabad.
