The 16-year-old Indian Premier League (IPL) is the most valuable and lucrative T20 cricket league in the world.

In a recent report published by Houlihan Lokey, reigning IPL champions Chennai Super Kings are the most valuable franchise in the league valued at approximately USD 212m.

CSK is followed by Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) and fourth is Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
CSK are also the reigning IPL champions winning the 2023 edition, beating former champions Gujarat Titans in the final. They are now the joint most successful franchise in the history of the tournament along with MI with five titles each to their names.
