England batted first and posted 246 runs on the board. In reply, India put 436 runs and earned a 190-run lead to put themselves firmly in the driver's seat in Hyderabad.

However, a terrific unbeaten ton from middle-order batsman Ollie Pope has given England a huge glimmer of hope as they have set a daunting target of 231 runs for India.

Pope's 196 is the highest score by any visiting player in a Test in India against India in the team's 2nd innings since Alastair Cook scored 176 in Ahmedabad in November 2012.

In this article, The Sporting News takes a look at the highest individual scores by an overseas batsman in the 2nd innings of a Test in India since 2013.
