The Indian team have been unable to get the monkey off their backs for more than 10 years now, the 2013 Champions Trophy being their last title. Hosting the 2023 World Cup and winning 10 games out of 10 to storm into the final, India were favourites to lift their third World Cup against Australia. But the Aussies caused a shock upset to beat India.
