After a disappointing loss to Australia at the World Test Championship (WTC) final in 2023, India started the next campaign in high spirits. Rohit Sharma & Co. set out on a tour to the Carribean Islands to start their 2023-25 cycle of the WTC.
India lead the two-match Test series by 1-0, after thrashing the hosts at Dominica. However, the second Test has been affected by rain.
With the World Cup coming up, India won't be playing a Test match for almost five months. The focus will completely be on the ODIs in the next few months.

When will India play its next test?
As per the schedule of the World Test Championship, Team India is set to face South Africa in an away tour for a two-match Test series, starting in December 2023.
The first Test will be played at the Centurion, from 26 to 30 December. The second match will be staged after the turn of the new year. It will be hosted in Cape Town between the 3rd and 7th of January, 2024.

What is India's recent record against South Africa?
In the last five Test series between the two teams, South Africa leads India by a margin of 3-2. India has lost two of the last three Test series against the Proteas and would be hoping to win it in 2023.
