How many Asia Cups (ODI) has Dhoni won as captain?

MS Dhoni led India to glory at the 2010 Asia Cup (ODI). In the four-nation tournament, India beat Bangladesh and Pakistan in the group stages, before losing to Sri Lanka.

Securing the second place at the end of the group stage matches, India met Sri Lanka in the final. Having already beaten once in the tournament, Sri Lanka had the momentum on their side.

However, the Indian team came clutch on the night of the final, as they beat the Lankans by a whopping margin of 81 runs. Batting first, India set a target of 269 runs, courtesy of a half-century (66 off 84) by Dinesh Karthik. MS Dhoni hit a valuable 38-run knock in the final.

In response, Sri Lanka were bundled out for 187, thanks to a four-wicket haul by Ashish Nehra. Ravi Jadeja and Zaheer Khan also bagged two tickets each.

Dhoni was also a part of the team that won the 2018 Asia Cup (ODI), but he was not the captain. Rohit Sharma led the side, while Dhoni's contribution as wicketkeeper/batsman was invaluable.
