Former South African pacer and newly appointed India's bowling More Morkel joined India's camp in Chennai ahead of the inaugural Test against Bangladesh. Morkel was announced as India's bowling coach after BCCI appointed Gautam Gambhir as the head coach.
The Protean was not available to assume his role in the recent Sri Lanka tour as he visited his homeland to spend time with his ill father. However, a month later, Morkel is all set to take responsibility as the bowling coach.
In his first interview with the BCCI, Morkel made some interesting revelations about himself. Having spent much time in the country through the IPL, he has named some of his favourite food dishes.

What is Morne Morkel's favourite Indian food?
Morne Morkel has revealed his cravings for a variety of Indian foods as he told BCCI, "I like a bit of puri. Breakfast, obviously I love my dosas. Milk, malai, chicken, and naan bread, Morkel revealed his favourite Indian food dishes. But yeah, I think it's also important as a coach that you need to show that you eat healthy and, you know, the rest of the players will follow that."

How will Morne Morkel’s experience help India?
Morkel brings valuable experience, both as a player and coach, to his new role. With over 247 international appearances and multiple IPL seasons under his belt, he’s well-acquainted with the playing conditions and pressure involved in Indian cricket.
The former fast bowler also worked with the Lucknow Super Giants as a coach, forging relationships with key Indian players and coaches, including head coach Gautam Gambhir.
