The ICC Cricket World Cup is set to begin from 5 October 2023 in India. While the BCCI is still making changes to the match schedule two months prior to the event, the ICC has stuck to its deadlines regarding squad deadlines.

What is the deadline to announce World Cup squads?
The format of this year's World Cup will be a round-robin group stage similar to the IPL and the previous World Cup in 2019. A total of 10 teams will be taking part, with eight qualifying automatically and Sri Lanka and the Netherlands having to go through the qualifiers for the event which were held in Zimbabwe.
According to a statement from the ICC, the last date to finalise the 15-player squads will be 28 September, with any replacements after that date requiring approval from the ICC.

Which teams have announced their World Cup squads?
None of the sides have finalised a 15-member squad as yet, but Australia have named a provisional squad of 18 players which will be trimmed before the deadline.
