Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) host Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow.
The hosts head into this fixture on the back of a narrow defeat to Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their previous fixture. After a steady start to their innings, they kept losing wickets with KL Rahul anchoring at the other end.
Krunal Pandya and Marcus Stoinis got off to decent starts but failed to convert them into big scores. Late into their innings, Rahul tried to accelerate but as soon as he started shifting gears, Arshdeep Singh sent him back to the dugout.

Chasing 160, PBKS' middle order played a pivotal role in chasing down the score. Matt Short (34 off 22) and Sikandar Raza (57 off 41) did the bulk of the scoring while Shahrukh Khan's cameo (23 off 10) ensured that they won by two wickets and three balls to spare.
Meanwhile, GT also suffered a setback as they went down to Rajasthan Royals (RR) by three wickets. Batting first, they posted a competitive score of 177 in their 20 overs but Sanju Samson (60 off 32) and Shimron Hetmyer's heroics (56 off 26) ensured that they got over the line.
After the fall of Samson in the 15th over, the onus was on the West Indian to take his side home and he did the job with elan hitting five humongous sixes and two fours en route to his match-winning innings.
Mohammad Shami was the best bowler for GT with three wickets for just 25 in his four overs and he will once again look to trouble LSG openers Rahul and Kyle Mayers with the new ball.
These two teams have faced each other two times in the past, with GT getting the better of LSG on both occasions.
