The IPL franchise was naturally thrilled to see their skipper back in action after a long injury layoff.

How did KL Rahul get injured?
The India international batsman picked up a hamstring injury during an IPL 2023 league stage tie against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) match.
Since that match, Rahul has been out of action and missed the remainder of the season. He was also ruled out of the World Test Championship final against Australia and is not part of the Indian team that is currently in West Indies.
Will KL Rahul be fit for the 2023 World Cup?
The LSG star is likely recover fully in the next one month and is expected to travel with the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2023 in September followed by the ODI World Cup 2023 in India which starts on October 5.
