The Indian cricket team led by captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, to celebrate their T20 World Cup victory.
They met the Indian PM for breakfast at his residence in Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi, on Thursday. The team arrived at Lok Kalyan Marg at 11 AM, where they reminisced about the victorious World Cup campaign and about the thrilling Final at Barbados.
PM Modi encouraged the team and expressed his confidence that the T20 World Cup victory would be a good motivation for them in future tournaments.

The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma reached Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi with the T20 World Cup trophy.
The players including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah were then seen engaging in a conversation with the PM where they shared laughs and talked about their World Cup championship journey.

The Indian Prime Minister along with the BCCI secretary Jay Shah and BCCI President Roger Binny clicked a group photo with the Indian cricket team, and the head coach Rahul Dravid.
Indian batsman Virat Kohli who top scored with 76 runs and won the Player of the Match award in the T20 World Cup 2024 Final, shared the photo on his Instagram handle, thanking PM Modi for inviting and honouring them at his residence in New Delhi.
Following the meeting, the Indian team travelled to the airport, from where they will take a special flight to Mumbai for the parade celebrations.
