The hosts finished on top of the table, with 9 wins in 9 games. They have been dominant throughout the competition, hardly breaking a sweat. Joining India in the top four are Australia, South Africa and New Zealand, all world-class teams in their own right.

The Men in Blue will play the Kiwis on Wednesday, in a rematch of the 2019 World Cup semifinal which saw New Zealand advance to the final. The game is set to take place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Here, The Sporting News brings you some of the key details about the stadium.

Wankhede stadium, Mumbai: Seating map and stands detailed

The Wankhede Stadium was built in 1975, and named after SK Wankhede, the then-secretary of the Mumbai Cricket Association, whose initiative it was to build a new cricketing facility in Mumbai fit to host international cricket. The stadium holds 33,108 people and the first match here was a Test between India and West Indies in the 1974-75 season.

Built just off the coast of South Mumbai, along Marine Drive, Wankhede Stadium is well connected, with a Metro line running just past the ground. The Mumbai University Ground, and the famous Azad Maidan are both close by as well.

The stadium has been split into seven different stands, each with a separate entry gate. Gate 1 leads to the Grand Stand, which is in line with the pitch. To its left is the Garware Stand, serviced by Gate 2. The Vijay Merchant Stand is third, facing the pitch side-on with the Sachin Tendulkar Stand to its left.

Directly opposite the Grand Stand is the press box (at the Tata End) which is also situated between the Sachin Tendulkar Stand and the Sunil Gavaskar Stand. Gate 6 of the Wankhede Stadium services the Divecha Stand which is side-on to the pitch, opposite to the Vijay Merchant Stand. The final section of the stadium is the MCA stand, situated between the Divecha Stand and the Grand Stand.

Where did MS Dhoni's World Cup winning-six land at the Wankhede Stadium?

Last month, the Mumbai Cricket Association unveiled two special seats, constructed where MS Dhoni's World Cup-winning six in 2011 landed. That victory gave India its second World Cup trophy, the first in 28 years.

Those two seats are opposite the Tata end, in the MCA End next to the Grand Stand.
